Education and work experience include:
Clear communication and effective presentations have been the focus of my career.
After earning degrees in electrical engineering and physics from Cornell University and Ithaca College, respectively, I experienced a crash course in business communication at Goldman Sachs. A move into software technical sales at MicroStrategy taught me the power of first having a true understanding of customer problems before presenting targeted solutions that offer clear, measurable value.
After joining then-startup salesforce.com, my technical sales career advanced by leading several teams and training hundreds in communication and presentation skills. Having contributed to multiple high-profile transactions over 14 years at salesforce, it was a privilege to have impacted the firm’s growth to over 25,000 employees and over $8B in revenue.
Following my time in the startup world, I teamed up with my wife, Deborah, to launch the Young Entrepreneurs Academy of Baton Rouge. The program teaches high school students business fundamentals, entrepreneurship, and presentation skills. We live in Baton Rouge, LA, with our sons Joey and Charlie.
